Tracking risks and issues is vital in any project, and that’s why Cloud Coach gives you reports out of the box to monitor the status of those risks and issues so you’re always up to date.

Hello everyone, Nic from Cloud Coach here. Thanks for joining us this week as we look at how you can report on issues and risk tickets. So, Tickets are something that we use in Cloud Coach to monitor our risks, issues, and change management. Let’s start by looking at one of the reports that comes right out of the box, “All projects with open tickets.”

Now, we’re here on our reports tab you can see that this is managed, that’s what that icon means, so when you install Cloud Coach you’re going to have this report already up and ready to go. When you click on it you’ll see it’s what they call a joined report, which allows us to see our projects with the project information, and then the related ticket. So, for example this Acme 1,200 widgets project has open tickets on it, and here’s the tickets description, due date if they have them, and then the status and owner. So, you’re able to kind of go down here and get again your project information so you can see which projects are red or green and then the tickets that are related to them. And that’s just one example of a report that comes right out of the box with Cloud Coach, ready to go.

Of course, the power of Cloud Coach is that we can also customize these reports or create brand new reports to report on those objects like tickets in our org. For example, right here is a report that we created for My Open Tickets, and all I did in this case is I created a report to show me just my tickets that are open. Then, to customize it, I went in and added a bit of conditional highlighting, just a little custom work as an example. That’s really the power of Salesforce reporting—we can go in and easily do something like hit “Customize” and then once we’re inside we can go through and say you know I want to see my tickets where the status is open, and I just want to see the record ticket type, and I can drag that to different areas if I need to and add additional information like ticket ID. That drag-and-drop makes it super simple and easy for you to customize your project reports.

So, that’s it for this week. Thanks for joining us and everyone have a great weekend.
